Description
Alternating Relay for 2 electropumps, with alarm relay, for hydropressor units.
Its main features include the 2-module box, the Fault Detection feature of the Pressure Switch 1, as well as the signaling at the maximum tank level, and the fact that the various timings can be adjusted by Micro Switch, which gives high flexibility and resource savings.
Applications
Command and protection of electropumps installed in hydropressor stations, with 2 electropumps, with:
- Inputs – minimum level, toggle, boost and maximum / alarm.
- Output relays – B1, B2 and alarm electrodes control.
- Aspiration of network or cistern, selectable (dip-switch).
- Water wait time, selectable (dip-switch).
- Reinforcement timing for support pump inlet.
- Pump start delay – selectable internal timing.
- Pump stop distance – 2 sec. of interval.
- Failure of P1 – connect the 2 pumps by the reinforcement. Signal alarm.
- Minimal alarm – due to lack of water they turn off the pumps. Alarm signal after 5 min.
Operation
Power the relay (green led on – A.1)
When powering the relay will turn on all the LEDs sequentially for testing lamps.
Alternating and Reinforcement Input
During each actuation of the toggle signal, alternately outputs B1 and B2.
If a boost actuation appears during the alternating operation, it will switch on the second available output.
The outputs B1 and B2 will switch off in the same sequence as when they were switched on, ie in the absence of the boost signal, the last pump that was switched on will switch off.
Reinforcement Timing
Selecting the respective micro-switch changes the boost timing.
Lack of water (Alarm)
While the minimum level buoy is giving condition, the system operates normally, in alternation.
If the minimum level float stops giving condition, the system will shut down due to lack of water, ie, will turn off the pumps, and after 5 min. will turn on the alarm contact.
Arrival of water
Aspiration from Cistern: turn on the pumps immediately.
Aspiration from the Grid: turn on the pumps after a 3-minute delay.
Maximum / Alarm Input
This input is available to receive a High Level Alarm signal (float or pressure switch). When activated it signals Alarm and switches the Alarm output relay to flashing. This will not turn off changing the operating status of B1 or B2, regardless of whether they are connected or not.
Displacement at start of pumps (Water hammer)
When the start and stop commands are given simultaneously, the outputs B1 and B2 do not switch simultaneously, but with a time offset equal to 3 or 10 seconds. according to the position of the micro-switch.
Misalignment of pumps
Whenever the two outputs are switched on and the order to switch off occurs, these outputs do not switch off at the same time, but with a 2 sec.
